Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems and mechanical knowledge. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in various commercial and residential projects. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading, blueprint reading, and schematics. A solid understanding of HVAC systems, remodeling, and carpentry is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring heavy lifting, precise measurements, and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems according to project specifications and blueprints
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete tasks efficiently
- Perform remodeling tasks including demolition, carpentry, and assembly as needed
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues using mechanical knowledge and schematics
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while adhering to safety standards
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction sites, HVAC systems, and plumbing operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing or related fields such as remodeling or handyman work
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, pipe threading, and schematics reading
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during installations
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in fast-paced environments
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to plumbing or construction are advantageous
Pay: $21.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
