Industrial Plumber
Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Plumber to join our construction team. This position focuses on the construction and installation of piping systems for new wastewater treatment plants and related industrial facilities.
The ideal candidate has experience with large-scale commercial or industrial piping, can work independently from construction drawings, and understands proper pipe installation, layout, elevations, and fittings.
Job Responsibilities
- Install industrial piping systems for new wastewater treatment plants and related facilities.
- Install and assemble Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 piping.
- Install ductile iron pipe and associated fittings, valves, flanges, and components.
- Lay out piping systems according to plans, specifications, elevations, and field conditions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, piping plans, details, and specifications.
- Determine pipe routes, measurements, elevations, offsets, and fitting requirements.
- Perform accurate measurements and field layouts before installation.
- Install valves, pumps, equipment connections, supports, restraints, and other piping components as required.
- Coordinate piping installation with concrete structures, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and other trades.
- Identify conflicts between drawings and actual field conditions and communicate issues to supervision.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, pipe-fitting equipment, and other construction equipment.
- Assist with pressure testing, leak testing, startup, and inspection of completed piping systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow company safety policies and all applicable jobsite safety requirements.
- Perform additional construction duties as needed to complete projects.
Qualifications
- Previous industrial, commercial, municipal, or wastewater plumbing/pipe-fitting experience preferred.
- Experience installing Schedule 40, Schedule 80, and ductile iron pipe strongly preferred.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Must understand basic pipe layout, measurements, elevations, grades, and fittings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction crew.
- Ability to troubleshoot piping installation issues in the field.
- Must be dependable and able to work in an active construction environment.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working outdoors.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Equipment operating experience is a plus, including excavators, skid steers, loaders, telehandlers, and similar construction equipment.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Some travel is required depending on project location.
Compensation
Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skill level.
Applicants with extensive industrial piping, wastewater treatment plant, water treatment plant, underground utility, or mechanical piping experience may qualify for higher starting compensation.

This is a hands-on construction position for individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and want to be part of building municipal and industrial infrastructure from the ground up.
Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 65.0 per week
