Experienced HVAC Service Technician — $30–$45/hr
Fong & Sullivan Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team.
We’re looking for a technician who can confidently diagnose problems, communicate with homeowners, and complete repairs professionally and efficiently. If you’re the type of technician who can walk into a home, figure out what’s actually wrong, explain the options to the customer, and get the job done right, we want to hear from you.
Pay
$30–$45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
We’re willing to pay for the right technician. Strong diagnostic ability, oil experience, and ServiceTitan experience will be taken into consideration.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls issues
- Service and repair furnaces, boilers, central A/C, heat pumps, mini-splits, and other HVAC equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
- Provide customers with clear explanations of problems and repair options
- Prepare accurate repair estimates
- Complete repairs on-site whenever practical
- Maintain accurate job notes and equipment information
- Communicate professionally with customers and the office
- Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and jobsite
- Follow company safety and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills
- Reliable and professional
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- EPA certification required
- Massachusetts HVAC licensing/certifications are a plus
BIG Plus — Oil Experience
Oil heating experience is a major bonus.
If you’re comfortable diagnosing and servicing:
- Oil furnaces
- Oil boilers
- Oil burners
- Beckett, Riello, Carlin, and similar equipment
- Oil-related controls and troubleshooting
— that will be a significant advantage.
BIG Plus — ServiceTitan Experience
We use ServiceTitan extensively throughout our operation.
Experience with ServiceTitan’s mobile platform, dispatching, job notes, estimates, invoices, customer communication, and other workflow tools is highly preferred.
