Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across our facilities. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of industrial and commercial electrical infrastructure, supporting our commitment to excellence and safety.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, including industrial and commercial electrical wiring.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and schematics reading.
- Repair and replace high-voltage electrical wiring and components in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards and local electrical codes.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute maintenance tasks.
- Install new electrical systems or upgrade existing ones during renovation or construction projects, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Conduct safety procedures aligned with electrical safety protocols to prevent hazards during maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to support installation of industrial electrical systems and high-voltage wiring.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading for construction or renovation projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, multimeters (including voltmeters and ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with local electrical codes such as NFPA 70 and NEC standards to ensure compliance during all work activities.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical system upgrades or new installations.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while adhering to strict safety regulations.
