About the Role
As a Building Automation Systems Specialist, you will spearhead the deployment and optimization of complex HVAC control environments. By leveraging your expertise in DDC programming and system integration, you will ensure peak energy efficiency and operational reliability across diverse commercial facilities.
Responsibilities
- Execute the installation, configuration, and commissioning of advanced DDC hardware, including controllers, actuators, and sensor networks.
- Drive system performance by conducting rigorous diagnostics and implementing precise control strategies to resolve technical bottlenecks.
- Mentor and lead technical staff, providing the guidance necessary to elevate team capabilities during complex installations and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to translate design specifications into functional, high-performance automation sequences.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, software updates, and configuration changes to ensure long-term system integrity.
- Proactively identify opportunities for preventive maintenance to maximize equipment lifespan and reduce operational downtime.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Proven experience in the installation and troubleshooting of DDC-based HVAC control systems.
- Advanced proficiency in programming and configuring industry-standard controllers such as Niagara, Honeywell, or Distech.
- Strong command of building automation communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret intricate wiring diagrams, control schematics, and mechanical specifications.
- Strong leadership background with the ability to supervise field teams and manage project timelines effectively.
Preferred Skills
- Current certifications in Niagara 4 or related DDC programming platforms.
- Prior experience integrating disparate building management systems (BMS) into unified platforms.
- Advanced analytical skills for diagnosing complex mechanical and software-related system failures.
