We are seeking a highly skilled Yamaha Outboard Technician to join our dynamic marine service team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on Yamaha outboard engines using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools, and technical drawings to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical wiring, and mechanical components utilizing hand tools, power tools, calipers, soldering equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting guides to ensure precise repairs and assembly of engine parts.
- Execute rigging tasks including assembly of marine electrical systems, ship electrical systems maintenance, and fabrication of custom components as needed.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately during all maintenance procedures to ensure safety standards are met at all times.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for water transportation equipment maintenance while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance activities in accordance with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven service technician experience with marine engines or similar mechanical systems; prior experience with Yamaha outboards is highly desirable.
- Strong electrical experience including marine electrical systems troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and ship electrical systems maintenance.
- Mechanical knowledge of marine propulsion systems, diesel mechanics, mechanical systems repair, and water transportation equipment maintenance.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, assembly instructions, and schematics related to marine engines and electrical wiring.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, soldering equipment, sheet metal fabrication tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Experience working with military-grade or heavy-duty vehicle maintenance is a plus; strong mechanical troubleshooting skills are essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs or installations.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members alike.

Pay: $20.00 - $37.50 per hour
