Blue Oak Construction is looking for an experienced, well-rounded remodeling carpenter to join our team.

We specialize in residential remodeling throughout the York, PA area. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, and has the willingness to do things the right way—not simply the fastest way.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants should have at least 5 years of hands-on construction/remodeling experience and be capable of taking on tasks independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Our projects involve all aspects of residential remodeling, so we're looking for someone with a broad skill set. Depending on the project, work may include:

Finish carpentry, trim and molding
Door and window installation
Cabinet and vanity installation
Framing and general carpentry
Kitchen and bathroom remodeling
Tile installation
Drywall installation and repair
Flooring
Minor plumbing work
Minor electrical work
Demolition and job-site preparation
Punch-list and finishing work
General repairs and other aspects of residential remodeling

We don't expect one person to be an expert in every trade. We are looking for someone who understands the remodeling process, is comfortable working across multiple aspects of a project, and knows when something needs additional expertise.

5+ years of construction/remodeling experience
Strong finish carpentry skills
Well-rounded residential remodeling experience
Strong knowledge and proper use of hand and power tools
Ability to complete tasks independently with limited supervision
Ability to problem-solve and think ahead

What We Value

Experience matters, but quality workmanship, reliability and attitude matter just as much.

We want someone who takes pride in what they build and doesn't cut corners. You should be comfortable being given a task, understanding what needs to be accomplished, planning the work, and seeing it through to completion.

Blue Oak Construction is a small company, so every member of our team matters. We're looking for someone dependable who wants to become a valuable, long-term part of the company.

Blue Oak Construction specializes in high-quality residential remodeling where craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the finished product matter.

Before applying, we encourage you to review the work shown on our website and Instagram to get a clear understanding of the level of craftsmanship we expect.

We are looking for an experienced carpenter who takes pride in their work and has the skill, patience, and attention to detail necessary to consistently produce work at this level.

If you are not confident in your ability to produce this level of quality and finish, this position will not be the right fit.
