Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and upgrade residential electrical systems in new construction, renovations, and existing homes.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation and troubleshooting.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify issues accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70 standards, and safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems including low voltage wiring, high-voltage circuits, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrical components when necessary.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to perform wiring, conduit bending, panel installation, and other tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following electrical safety procedures during all phases of work.
- Read electrical schematics and blueprints confidently to plan installations or repairs effectively.
- Collaborate with clients to assess needs, provide solutions, and explain electrical system functions clearly.
- Complete detailed documentation of work performed for project records and compliance purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in residential wiring projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrician practices and commercial electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring and industrial electrical systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) requirements for safe electrical installations.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and electrical blueprints accurately.
- Experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new build projects; familiarity with framing carpentry or handyman skills is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of local electrical codes combined with excellent problem-solving abilities in complex scenarios.
- Prior experience working safely on construction sites with adherence to all safety protocols is essential.

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
