Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing refrigeration and HVAC systems across various commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, field service experience, and the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC designs. This role offers opportunities for professional growth in property maintenance, appliance repair, and specialized refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration. A valid driver’s license is required to facilitate on-site service calls and equipment maintenance.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units and air conditioning equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC designs, and technical manuals for accurate system diagnostics and repairs
- Conduct plumbing work related to refrigeration and HVAC systems as needed
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for component repairs
- Diagnose mechanical issues with boilers, pumps, compressors, and other related equipment
- Perform equipment repair tasks including welding, replacement of parts, and system upgrades
- Maintain detailed service records of all repairs and maintenance activities
- Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and industry regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC, refrigeration, or property maintenance fields
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, equipment repair, or boiler maintenance
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred
- Skilled in plumbing, welding, electrical troubleshooting, and general mechanical repairs
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units and field service operations
- Knowledge of construction practices related to system installation and maintenance
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively
- Valid driver’s license required for travel between job sites
- Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC/R or refrigeration are a plus

Pay: $34.75 - $41.85 per hour
