Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintains, repairs and installs plumbing and related fixtures and components
· Cut, thread and weld pipes as necessary
· Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings and pipes
· Use of plumber’s tools such as snakes, wrenches, plungers, pipe threaders, as well as a variety hand and power tools.
· Inspect work for compliance with building and safety codes and regulations
· Respond to routine and urgent calls for repairs and service
· Maintain good housekeeping of shop and tools
· Maintain appropriate service and repair log
· Assist and serve as back-up to other Facilities employees
