Put your plumbing experience to work helping others build a career! National Technical Institute (NTI) is seeking a full-time Plumbing Instructor to provide classroom instruction and hands-on training at our Clear Lake / Pearland Campus in Southeast Houston.
We’re looking for an experienced plumbing professional who enjoys sharing their knowledge, explaining practical skills, and helping students prepare for careers in the trade.
Responsibilities
- Teach plumbing theory and practical skills through classroom instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on lab activities.
- Follow the approved curriculum and prepare lesson plans that connect course material to real-world plumbing work.
- Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
- Encourage student participation, professionalism, and accountability.
- Reinforce proper safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized learning environment.
- Maintain lab equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Stay current with industry practices and participate in professional development.

Required Qualifications
- At least five years of professional plumbing experience.
- Must have a journeyman level license in the state of TX.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and work with students of varying experience levels.
Preferred Qualification
- A Texas Master Plumber license is a plus.
Schedule and Work Location
This is a full-time, in-person position at our Clear Lake / Pearland Campus. Scheduling offers some flexibility based on business needs. The instructor may be required to teach one or two evening classes to provide coverage as needed.
