Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for electrical construction and installation projects. This role involves analyzing project documents, performing detailed quantity take-offs, pricing materials/labor/equipment/subcontractors, and supporting profitable bidding decisions. - Identify risks, scope gaps, constructability issues, and value-engineering opportunities.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids, proposals, and supporting documentation within deadlines.
- Conduct site visits or pre-bid meetings as needed to assess existing conditions and clarify requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, operations, and leadership on bid strategy, turnover of awarded projects, and change-order pricing.
- Maintain and update historical cost data, unit pricing databases, and estimating records.
- Stay current on material/labor market pricing, National Electrical Code (NEC), relevant standards (NEMA, UL, NFPA), and industry best practices.
- Support post-project reviews to compare estimates vs. actuals and improve future accuracy.
