Overview
Join our team as an Auto Body Technician and bring damaged vehicles back to safe, polished condition. You’ll handle structural and cosmetic repairs, from assessing damage through repair, refinishing, and final assembly. Your impact: Accurate repairs help customers return to the road with vehicles that look and function as intended.
Duties
- Inspect vehicle damage and support auto estimating by identifying repair needs and required parts.
- Perform auto body repair, automotive structural repair, automotive dent repair, sheet metal work, fabrication, welding repair, and fabrication repair techniques.
- Use MIG (metal inert gas) welding, soldering, automotive welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and sanding tools to complete repairs.
- Complete automotive body refinishing, auto painting, airless paint spraying, detailing, assembly, automotive parts installation, and auto glass work as needed.
- Perform vehicle maintenance and related mechanical work; safely handle heavy lifting and keep the work area organized.
Experience
- Experience working as an automotive body technician, including auto body repair and automotive cosmetic repair, is preferred.
- Dealership experience, auto restoration, or mechanic experience is an asset.
- Practical welding, fabrication, and mechanical knowledge, including familiarity with repair tools and equipment, is preferred.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, safe work habits, and customer service skills when discussing repair needs and completed work.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
