This role works closely with project management to meet schedule commitments, control field costs and maintain workmanship.

Responsibilities

Field Planning and Coordination

· Review the electrical scope, drawings, specifications, estimate and labor budget before mobilization. Develop installation sequencing, crew structure, logistics and equipment needs.

· Maintain a three-week look-ahead tied to the project schedule. Establish crew production targets, track milestones and develop recovery plans when progress falls behind.

· Coordinate electrical work with general contractors, owners, other trades, inspectors and utilities. Plan shutdowns, tie-ins, temporary power and access with the required approvals.

· Identify drawing conflicts, missing information and constructability issues early. Work with the project manager to resolve RFIs and keep foremen working from current approved documents.

Leadership and Cost Control

· Direct foremen and adjust manpower among assigned work areas or projects. Match staffing to available work and coordinate overtime or outside labor with project management.

· Review installed quantities, labor hours and remaining work with foremen. Identify productivity losses, material waste and rework, and take corrective action.

· Coach foremen, develop crew leaders and address field performance concerns. Support hiring, onboarding, training and workforce planning with company leadership.

· Coordinate material releases and deliveries with project management. Plan rentals, staging and storage, and keep purchases and field commitments within delegated authority.

Safety Quality and Reporting

· Lead field punch-list completion and coordinate as-built records, labeling, test reports and turnover needs. Represent Cargill Electric professionally in site coordination meetings.

Qualifications and Expectations

Required Qualifications

· At least 8 years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience, including at least 3 years supervising foremen, multiple crews or a major electrical project.

· Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, conduit and cable systems, lighting, grounding, bonding, motor controls and safe installation methods.

· Ability to interpret drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, approved submittals and the National Electrical Code, and coordinate resolution of technical conflicts.

· Ability to build look-ahead schedules, forecast manpower, evaluate labor performance and communicate field cost or schedule impacts to project management.

· Proven leadership, documentation and coordination skills. Ability to use digital drawings, spreadsheets, email and field management software; a valid driver's license when operating company vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications

· Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent trade training; a journeyman, master electrician or contractor credential where applicable.

· OSHA 30 construction training and current electrical safety, lift and first aid or CPR training relevant to assigned duties.

· Experience with industrial or distribution facilities, occupied renovations, utility coordination, planned shutdowns and supervision across multiple active jobsites.

Performance Expectations

· Foremen receive clear priorities, achievable production targets and timely support to resolve field issues.

· Manpower plans and look-ahead schedules reflect actual progress, with recovery actions identified before milestones are missed.

· Labor performance and remaining work are reviewed regularly, and field changes are documented before they become untracked costs.

· Safety issues, quality deficiencies and inspection findings are addressed promptly; turnover documents and punch-list work are completed on schedule.

Working Conditions

This is a field-based leadership position requiring regular presence at assigned jobsites and travel between projects as needed. Duties include walking active construction areas, climbing stairs and ladders, accessing lifts and inspecting installations in indoor and outdoor conditions.
