Kember Sawmill is seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and maintaining PLC systems that support our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Programming and Development:

Write, test, and debug PLC programs to control machinery and processes.
Develop HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications for user interaction with automated systems.

2. System Design:

Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to design control systems that meet operational requirements.
Create system specifications and design documentation.

3. Installation and Commissioning:

Oversee the installation and commissioning of PLC systems and associated equipment.
Conduct field tests and adjust programs as necessary to optimize performance.

4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Provide technical support for existing automated systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Perform regular maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency of control systems.

5. Documentation:

Maintain accurate documentation of programming codes, system configurations, and changes made to existing systems.

6. Training and Support:

Train operators and staff on the use of PLC systems and associated technologies.
Offer support during production runs and assist in process improvements.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

Proven experience in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi).-

Skills:

Strong understanding of automation concepts, control theory, and industrial processes.
Proficiency in programming languages related to PLCs (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text).-
