Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Swiss screw machines to produce high-quality components. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC Swiss screw machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on blueprints and technical specifications.
- Operate CNC Swiss lathes efficiently, monitoring machine performance throughout production runs to ensure precision and quality.
- Conduct routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Perform troubleshooting and minor maintenance on CNC equipment, including electrical discharge machining (EDM), plasma cutting, and press brake machines when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; operate forklifts or cranes as needed for material handling.
- Document production data accurately, including cycle times, inspection results, and machine adjustments for quality assurance purposes.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines, lathes, and Swiss screw machines.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining processes such as welding, stamping presses, sheet metal fabrication, and tooling setup.
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings with GD&T specifications; familiarity with basic math for measurements and calculations.
- Experience with quality inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards; ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, cranes, and press brake machines safely.
- Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and sheet metal fabrication techniques is a plus.
