Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Pipefitter responsible for preparing, fabricating, installing, and fitting industrial piping systems according to specifications. This role works with mechanical piping systems in industrial and manufacturing environments and requires the ability to read blueprints, perform precise measurements, and ensure safe, high-quality installations.
This position is strictly industrial/mechanical piping and does not involve residential or HVAC work.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine piping layout and requirements
- Measure, cut, thread, assemble, and install industrial piping systems
- Fit and align pipes, valves, fittings, and related components
- Perform welding, brazing, and soldering as required
- Conduct pressure testing and inspections to ensure system integrity and safety
- Follow all industrial safety standards and environmental regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Use proper hand tools, measuring devices, and pipefitting equipment
- Identify and report safety or environmental concerns
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Required Qualifications
- Experience in industrial or mechanical pipefitting (manufacturing, automation, plant, or industrial environments)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures
- Must have own basic hand tools and PPE
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Note: Residential and HVAC plumbing experience alone does not meet the requirements for this role.
Education & Experience
- Education aligned with pipefitting or mechanical experience preferred
- Experience level may vary depending on project requirements
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
- Regular use of hands and arms
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work around industrial machinery and mechanical systems
- Exposure to moderate noise levels and industrial environments
