Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical, Commercial & Telecommunications Infrastructure Electrician to support commercial construction, telecom infrastructure, and utility projects. This role includes installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in commercial buildings as well as supporting telecom and site infrastructure work.
Experience in commercial electrical installations is required, and concrete construction knowledge is a strong plus.
This position requires hands-on field experience, strong knowledge of the NEC, and the ability to work both indoors and outdoors in active construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Electrical Work
- Install and maintain electrical systems in commercial buildings
- Install panels, breakers, transformers, disconnects, and switchgear
- Rough-in and trim-out wiring for lighting, receptacles, and equipment
- Install LED lighting systems and lighting controls
- Install EV chargers and dedicated circuits
- Perform service upgrades and tenant build-outs
- Troubleshoot commercial electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with NEC and local electrical codes
Telecommunications Infrastructure
- Install power systems for telecom sites (cell towers, DAS, small cell, fiber)
- Install and terminate central office power cable and low-voltage systems
- Install grounding and bonding systems for telecom equipment
- Pull and terminate medium and low-voltage cables
- Support generator and backup power systems
- Work in equipment shelters, cabinets, and outdoor telecom environments
Infrastructure & Civil Coordination
- Install underground conduit, duct banks, and handholes
- Work alongside excavation crews for trenching and site prep
- Prepare and install transformer pads and equipment pads
- Coordinate with utility providers and inspectors
Concrete Knowledge (Strong Plus)
- Understanding of forming and pouring concrete pads and footings
- Knowledge of rebar placement and anchor bolt layout
- Ability to stub conduits through concrete forms
- Familiarity with base preparation and stone installation for pads
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose electrical faults in commercial and infrastructure systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on panels, generators, and power distribution
- Identify and correct code violations
- Perform service calls and emergency repairs
Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years commercial electrical experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints
- Experience bending conduit (EMT, PVC, rigid)
- Experience installing panels, disconnects, and distribution equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong understanding of NEC
Preferred:
- Telecom infrastructure experience
- Concrete construction knowledge
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Experience working around heavy equipment
- Experience with underground utilities and duct banks
- Generator installation experience
