Job Title: Electrical Construction Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager with a strong background in utility-scale solar projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of electrical construction experience, including at least 5 years working for a full-service EPC contractor on utility-scale solar projects.
This role is responsible for managing all electrical construction activities in the field, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable codes and quality standards. A Master Electrician License is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage all on-site electrical construction activities for utility-scale solar projects.
· Oversee installation of:
o MV and HV systems
o Underground and above-ground collection systems
o Inverters, transformers, and substations
o SCADA and monitoring systems
· Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project execution.
· Manage subcontractors and self-perform crews to maintain productivity and quality standards.
· Ensure compliance with NEC, local/state electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and project specifications.
· Monitor project schedule and proactively mitigate delays.
· Review and interpret construction drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and IFC documents.
· Conduct regular site inspections and quality control reviews.
· Support commissioning and turnover activities.
· Manage site safety initiatives and promote a culture of zero incidents.
· Track labor productivity, materials, and equipment utilization.
· Support cost control efforts and change order management.
Required Qualifications
· Minimum 10 years of electrical construction experience
· Minimum 5 years with a full-service EPC contractor delivering utility-scale solar projects
· Demonstrated experience on ground-mount solar projects (50MW+ preferred)
· Strong knowledge of:
o Medium and high voltage systems (up to 34.5kV or higher)
o Substation tie-ins
o Utility interconnection requirements
o Civil/electrical coordination in renewable energy projects
· Proven leadership experience managing field teams and subcontractors
· Strong understanding of construction scheduling (Primavera P6 and/or MS Project preferred)
· OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain)
· Ability to travel and work on project sites as required
Preferred Qualifications
· Master Electrician License (Preferred)
· Experience with large-scale solar EPC firms
· Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS)
· NABCEP certification (a plus)
· First Aid/CPR certified

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
