Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and residential settings. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will bring your expertise in electrical codes, schematics, and wiring to ensure safe and efficient electrical operations. Your hands-on experience with low and high voltage systems, blueprint reading, and industrial electrical work will drive success in complex projects. Duties

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and residential environments
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations
Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to diagnose issues and ensure proper system operation
Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation projects
Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to maintain compliance with safety regulations
Assist in renovation projects by updating or replacing outdated electrical systems on construction sites
Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation efforts
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems for safety hazards or potential failures
Maintain detailed records of work performed, including test results and repair logs
Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols while working with high voltage or complex electrical systems

Requirements

Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized in your jurisdiction
Proven experience as an residential or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and NEC standards
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics for automation projects
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing equipment effectively
Construction site experience working on renovation or new build projects in industrial or commercial settings
Knowledge of frame carpentry basics can be beneficial for certain installations or modifications
Handyman experience is a plus for troubleshooting diverse electrical issues efficiently
Strong commitment to safety practices when working with high voltage or complex electrical systems
