Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced career minded, dedicated, and skilled concrete Laborer to join our team. With Building and Pole Shed Construction, Commercial Roofing, and Concrete divisions, J&A Northwest Construction offers a variety of opportunities for the career minded individual. This is a full-time position. Although individual skills and expertise may align primarily with concrete/employee's specific area of focus, we provide cross-training and utilize employees across all areas as/when needed.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of concrete experience - primarily in flat work -- i.e. setting forms, laying cement, staining, stamping, and finishing.
This role requires a safety conscious quality minded individual who possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors and lead workers.
General Duties
- Assists in the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
- Performs tasks related to forming, pouring, staining, stamping, and finishing concrete. ,
- Uses various power and hand tools as well as other powered equipment required to perform duties.
- Reads and interprets blueprints and project books to ensure understanding of project requirements.
- Works outdoors in varying weather, exposing individuals to cold or heat.
- Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Other Qualifications
- Previous 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in a concrete labor role or related field .
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with team members on the construction site.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced workers.
