Position Summary

The CNC Machinist II is responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and monitoring CNC machining centers and manual machining equipment to produce precision metal components. This role requires strong programming ability, blueprint reading expertise, and a solid understanding of quality inspection standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining safety and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, sand blast tools, cold saws, and manual machining equipment with minimal supervision
Program and troubleshoot CNC equipment to meet production specifications
Monitor CNC milling and turning machines to ensure parts meet inspection sheet and blueprint requirements
Perform full inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and plug/thread gauges
Complete and document quality checks accurately and consistently
Maintain established production time standards and run efficiencies
Troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and program issues
Organize and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines
Operate multiple CNC and manual machines simultaneously when required
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
