Comer & Cross Garage Coatings is hiring a General Manager to lead our Pittsburgh market operations as we continue expanding.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on production, field operations, and technician management. You will be responsible for overseeing install crews, job execution, quality control, and operational efficiency.
This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced construction or home service environments, enjoys building strong teams, and takes pride in running a high-performing operation.
You will be responsible for the success of every install, every crew, and every customer experience.
What You'll DoGeneral Management & Leadership
- Lead all field operations and production teams
- Hire, train, coach, and manage installation technicians and crew leads
- Build and maintain a strong team culture and accountability
- Own operational performance and project execution
Operations Management
- Ensure jobs are completed on time, efficiently, and at the highest quality
- Manage crew scheduling, labor efficiency, and workflow
- Oversee inventory, equipment, and material management
- Maintain strong quality control standards
- Visit job sites and support crews as needed
Project & Crew Oversight
- Coordinate daily schedules for install crews
- Troubleshoot job site issues and support technicians
- Ensure proper job completion standards and safety practices
- Maintain strong communication between field teams and leadership
Reporting & Accountability
- Run weekly operational meetings
- Track production metrics, job completion rates, and efficiency
- Identify process improvements and operational gaps
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years leadership or management experience
- Experience managing field teams, technicians, or production crews
- Background in construction, home services, flooring, coatings, or production environments
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in-person in the Pittsburgh market
Concrete coatings or construction experience is a plus but not required.
