Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Commercial Fire Safety systems across various construction and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to determine wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and power tools to complete electrical installations efficiently.
- Test electrical systems using instruments like ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters to diagnose issues and verify proper operation.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and safety standards related to high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Collaborate with construction teams including frame carpenters and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and materials used for project documentation and future reference.
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction environments.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), and testing instruments (e.g., ohmmeters, ammeters).
- Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems along with relevant safety protocols.
- Ability to work confidently on construction sites while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Experience working with the NEC standards for electrical wiring and installation practices.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading for complex electrical layouts.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
- Construction site experience combined with a solid understanding of frame carpentry is a plus. Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
