This position is a DIRECT HIRE ROLE from day one
Responsibilities:
- Supervise day‑to‑day production in machining, fabrication, and assembly
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize work to meet production goals, customer deadlines, and quality standards
- Training and evaluating shop personnel; participate in hiring decisions
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA requirements, and company procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance, coordinate repairs, and work with maintenance to reduce downtime
- Working with engineering, quality control, and management to resolve production issues.
- Review job travelers, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient execution.
- Track production metrics, report progress, and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Maintain shop floor organization, inventory accuracy, and material flow.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years previous experience in a sheet metal and/or machine shop environment.
- At least five years’ experience in supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, and metalworking processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Experience with MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must have experience with ERP systems used for scheduling, job tracking, and inventory control
- Experience with production scheduling, workflow coordination, and shop metrics.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods.
- Familiarity with welding, CNC machining, and precision fabrication processes
- Experience with shop management or MRP/ERP platforms specific to manufacturing.
Hours are:
Monday through Friday – 7am to 3:30pm
The salary is up to $85K a year based on experience
