Overview
Local 100 is seeking skilled and experienced Pipe Welders, Pipe Fitters, Orbital Welders and Tube Benders. As a pipe fitter you will work alongside a welder fabricating, installing, repairing of complex systems. As an orbital welders you will be required to fabricate, assemble and program your welding machine and make the appropriate welds necessary on stainless steel tubing. As a Tube Bender you will be required to read detailed drawings, lay out and install stainless steel tubing with the appropriate bends necessary as indicated on the construction drawings, while ensuring high- quality standards are met. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of projects while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Perform welding tasks using various orbital welding machines.
- Operate power tools and hand tools effectively to cut, shape, and join metal components.
- Monitor environmental conditions, and ensuring compliance with strict protocols.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to welding processes or equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding with a strong understanding of different welding methods.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machinery and tools safely.
- Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical documents.
- Experience with rigging is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and improve skills as necessary.
