We are looking for the following to join our team: Line Tech/Powder Coater.

Full-time - 1st Shift, $25-$35 per hour based on experience.

About The Job

The Line Tech/Powder Coater will be responsible for coating materials as required, in accordance with production and shipping schedules. When the line is not running, they will be required to prepare materials for shipping, load trucks with the correct materials, and assist with various fabrication duties.

Powder Coater Responsibilities:

Select the appropriate powder coating material and color based on customer specifications and job requirements.
Set up and operate powder coating equipment, such as spray guns, coating booths, and curing ovens, to apply the powder coating evenly and consistently.
Ensure that the powder coating application meets quality standards and requirements, such as thickness, coverage and uniformity.
Troubleshoot as needed to maintain consistent performance.

Inspect finished workpieces for quality defects, such as runs, sags, or uneven coating, and make necessary touch-ups or rework when required.
Ensure adherence to safety procedures and guidelines for handling and storing powder coating materials, as well as operating equipment safely.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and tools, to ensure efficiency and a safe working environment.
Keep records of production activities, such as material usage, coating specifications, and job details.
Hang material on the line.
Unloading materials from the line and preparing them for shipment.

Loading and unloading trucks for shipping.

Perform tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Skills:

Experience as a powder coater or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.

Ability to follow job specifications, including customer requirements and material data sheets.

Attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects and make necessary adjustments.

Strong safety awareness.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet production deadlines.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
5 years of previous powder coating or painting experience.
Strong attention to detail.
