About the Role
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to maintain and repair large commercial HVAC systems and chiller technologies. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex issues, ensuring optimal system performance and energy efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve issues in large commercial HVAC systems, including chillers and VRF systems, to ensure efficient operation.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on screw chillers, addressing both mechanical and electrical components to minimize downtime.
- Optimize energy recovery by troubleshooting and repairing Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs) in commercial buildings.
- Maintain system performance by diagnosing and repairing Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems.
- Ensure system integrity by performing blower shaft and large bearing replacements.
- Improve system efficiency through advanced airflow and ductwork evaluations, providing recommendations for enhancements.
- Maintain cooling tower functionality and energy efficiency through preventive maintenance and repairs on large commercial cooling towers.
- Ensure safety and operational efficiency by troubleshooting and repairing low-temperature refrigeration systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of large commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, VRF, and cooling towers.
- Valid EPA Universal Certification for refrigerant handling.
- Proficiency in advanced refrigeration systems, airflow evaluation, and ductwork systems.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair systems up to 400 tons.
- Solid background in cooling tower maintenance, pump alignment, and low-temperature refrigeration systems.
- Ability to interpret complex schematics and technical manuals for HVAC systems.
- NATE Senior-Level Certification.
- Advanced Refrigeration Certification.
- Chiller-Specific Certification.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) for troubleshooting and integrating HVAC equipment.
- Prior experience mentoring and guiding junior technicians (Level 1-3).
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interactions and team collaboration.
