Manufacturing - Modular Buildings
Starting total package per hour:
$25.00 wage+ $1.00* pension+ $9.60* Health Insurance = $35.60*
*Insurance coverage and pension is paid to Carpenter's Union on your behalf.
Manufacturing Personnel is responsible for preparing products for shipment, assembling prefabricated wall panels for Modular Buildings, Packaging finished products for shipment. This Person will also complete checks on products to ensure quality production. The ideal candidate will have mechanical and production experience.
- Manufacture, Assemble and prepare goods for shipment
- Complete quality assurance testing on goods and products
- Cleans and operates factory equipment
- Puts together and inspects products
- Organize inventory in an easy-to-access process
- Utilize machinery such as forklifts to move materials and load orders
- Maintain the quality and upkeep of warehouse equipment including machinery
- Move materials or completed products and packages to established locations
Adheres to all factory safety guidelines and standards.
- Starts assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift.
- Monitors equipment to ensure that products are being produced properly.
- Makes sure that workstation is clean.
- Must be able to read a Tape Measure.
- Cleans equipment.
- Assembles product parts by hand.
- Observes and removes faulty product parts from assembly line.
- Inspects assembled products to ensure they are up to quality standards.
- Affixes labels, company logos, and other exterior details to products.
- Packs up completed products and prepares them for shipment.
- Keeps factory floor clean.
- Unloads, organizes, and stocks shipments.
- Adheres to all safety guidelines dictating the production and handling of materials in the factory.
- Ensures that all production deadlines are met.
- Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to read a Tape Measure.
- Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem- solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.
- Is familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines.
- Demonstrates ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
- Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
- Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
- Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble small and delicate product parts.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certification and licensing to operate factory machinery is strongly preferred.
Work Environment
- Standard 40-hour workweek applies.
- Working hours will be spent in the factory or warehouse.
- Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking and lifting is required on a daily basis.
- Individuals may be required to handle fragile products.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and processes is beneficial.
