We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and be proficient in various electrical tasks. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC). As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in both residential and industrial settings.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to NEC standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Conduct tests using voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Work with logic controllers for automation systems as required.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to ensure project completion.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working with high voltage systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
- Experience with industrial electrical work preferred; familiarity with high voltage systems is a plus.
- Strong skills in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of frame carpentry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in diverse environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
