Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Entry Level Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This is a 4 day work week. The hours for 2nd shift are Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
Duties
- Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment including grinding, deburring and polishing machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately produce parts.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect parts for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Assist with fabrication tasks using hand tools, welding equipment, and sheet metal working tools.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet company standards.
- Support assembly operations by preparing components and verifying correct fit and finish.
Requirements
- Trade school or high school diploma in CNC or Machine Shop.
- 1+ years of experience working in a machine shop environment.
- This is a great opportunity for a recent grad to get your foot in the door.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings clearly.
- Mechanical aptitude with a strong interest in machining and fabrication processes.
- Ability to operate hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments accurately.
- Comfortable working on the 2nd shift schedule with flexibility for overtime if needed.
Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
