Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager - specializing in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems within the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering sector.
This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of complex infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, safety standards, and client expectations.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction management experience, particularly in HVAC systems, with a strong focus on project scheduling, cost control, and team leadership. This position offers an opportunity to lead diverse projects from inception through delivery while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to monitor progress and resource allocation.
- Oversee the preparation and review of construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings related to HVAC systems.
- Manage project teams on-site and off-site, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff to ensure seamless workflow.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify construction quality, safety compliance, and adherence to design specifications.
- Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid or Bluebeam for accurate cost management and change order processing.
- Ensure all projects comply with local construction regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and progress reports.
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders to resolve issues promptly and keep projects on track.
- Monitor project budgets closely through construction budget management practices to prevent overruns.
- Lead project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and update schedules accordingly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing complex HVAC infrastructure projects within the construction or industrial engineering sectors.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling techniques and construction regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with construction estimating software including HeavyBid or Bluebeam.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to HVAC systems.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams in a construction management role.
- Deep understanding of construction plans development, contract administration, and cost management strategies.
- Knowledge of relevant construction regulations and safety standards applicable to industrial projects.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders across diverse locations.
- Construction site experience with a focus on commercial or industrial infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
