Join our dynamic team as a Mobile Equipment Operator. The Mobile Equipment Operator operates basic heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, and excavators safely under supervision. Duties
- Operate a wide range of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other construction machinery to support site development activities.
- Drive and manage various trucks such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks to transport materials and equipment across the site.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections on all equipment to ensure safety and functionality before use.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and your team.
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to coordinate equipment use efficiently across different phases of construction.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance needs to ensure operational readiness.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, cranes, backhoes, and front loader trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving large vehicles including dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker trucks, and farm machinery.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments while adhering to safety standards.
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and practices.
- Additional certifications such as forklift operation or specific machinery licenses are advantageous but not mandatory.
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required.
