Fabricator III – 1st Shift

Shaw Industries is seeking a skilled Fabricator III to build precision components and custom machinery parts using advanced fabrication, welding, and machining techniques.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate parts and assemblies to print and tolerance requirements
Read, interpret, and create mechanical drawings
Operate manual and CNC fabrication equipment, including press brakes and shop machinery
Perform MIG and TIG welding (steel and aluminum), plasma cutting, and oxy-fuel cutting
Design and build custom jigs and fixtures
Perform material handling using cranes, hoists, and lift trucks
Plan and complete fabrication jobs from start to finish
Maintain equipment and ensure quality workmanship
Train and mentor junior fabricators as needed

Requirements

2‑year technical diploma with 2 years of fabrication experience OR 3–4 years of fabrication experience
Ability to weld and fabricate within tight tolerances (±1/32" layout, ±1/16" fabrication)
Experience with shop math, blueprints, and material selection
Self‑motivated, team‑oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision
Must provide basic personal hand tools

Preferred (Not Required)

CNC plasma or press brake training
Welding certifications (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW)

Work Environment

Physical role requiring lifting up to 50 lbs
Standing, bending, and working on feet up to 8 hours per day
Overtime and limited travel (up to 10%) may be required

Pay: $27.84 per hour
