Job Summary:
We are seeking two skilled CNC Machinists to join our growing team! At least one machinist should be experienced in machine setup. The role involves setting up and operating HAAS VF4SS and HAAS VF2SS machining centers to mill plastics and metals into precision components. This job requires strong knowledge of blueprints, machine programming using MasterCam, and adherence to high-quality standards. The ideal candidates will be reliable self-starters with the ability to work independently during second shift hours.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate HAAS VF4SS and HAAS VF2SS machining centers
- Use MasterCam and setup sheets to correctly load stock, tooling, and fixtures
- Ensure the precision of parts by verifying settings, measuring positions, and performing first-run part inspections
- Conduct drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations while maintaining strict quality standards
- Troubleshoot and adjust machining processes as needed to meet required specifications
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions
- Document production and quality logs to ensure accurate record-keeping
- Communicate actions and irregularities effectively to maintain continuity between shifts
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Participate in ongoing educational opportunities and technical publications to stay updated on machining technologies
- Assist in improving processes to increase efficiency and quality
Requirements:
- Experience in CNC machining with HAAS VF4SS and HAAS VF2SS preferred
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding dimensions
- Knowledge of MasterCam programs and setup sheets
- Ability to set up machines, load stock, and tooling independently
- Ability to conduct first article inspections and verify tolerances
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain safe and efficient operations
- Strong communication skills and teamwork mentality
- Availability to work second shift, starting as early as 3:00 PM, with flexible end times
