Position Overview
As a Journeyman Electrician at PrimeLine Electric, you are more than a technician — you are a leader in the field and a critical part of our company’s success. You will oversee and execute commercial and industrial electrical installations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and workmanship.
You will be expected to perform in demanding environments, manage pressure effectively, communicate clearly, and contribute to a culture built on discipline, respect, and execution.
This role requires someone who can think critically, adapt quickly, lead crews when needed, and perform at a high level regardless of challenges or jobsite conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Lead by example in safety, productivity, professionalism, and workmanship.
- Coordinate effectively with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and field crews.
- Mentor apprentices and developing electricians to strengthen team capability and culture.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently under tight deadlines and changing conditions.
- Maintain accurate documentation, material tracking, and daily progress reporting.
- Operate with urgency while maintaining precision and quality.
- Represent PrimeLine Electric professionally with clients, vendors, inspectors, and team members.
- Handle physically and mentally demanding work environments with resilience and composure.
What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific).
- Minimum 4+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience leading crews, mentoring apprentices, and maintaining production schedules.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
- Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and jobsite equipment
- Distinguish color-coded wiring and read detailed prints/schematics
- Maintain focus and performance during physically demanding workdays
- Wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures consistently
