Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to fabricate vehicle bodies. This role requires proficiency in using machinery such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines and a punch that will cut, shape and bend metal, and adhering to safety standards while delivering high-quality work.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications
Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, or stick welding techniques
Operate forklifts, cranes, and other machinery safely and efficiently
Utilize hand tools and machining equipment to cut, shape, and join materials
Selects, matches and applies paint according to specifications
Rig materials for lifting and transport as needed on construction sites
Positioning and moving trucks and trailers in various states of disrepair
Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining safety protocols
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored

Experience

Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a construction, manufacturing or equipment repair and maintenance environments
Familiarity with mechanical design, fabrication and machining processes is preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery is a plus
Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to welding and fabrication tasks
Proficiency in using various hand tools required for assembly and fabrication tasks
