The Director of Sales will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive sales & marketing programs across the MEP Division (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) and its locations. We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Leader to oversee and grow our residential and commercial HVAC sales operations. This role is responsible for building and leading a high-performing sales team, developing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, improving customer experience, and ensuring achievement of company goals. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader with a proven track record in HVAC, home services, or related sales management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Recruit, lead, coach, and develop HVAC sales representatives and comfort advisors
Establish sales goals, KPIs, and performance expectations
Monitor team performance and implement strategies to improve close rates and revenue
Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new sales team members
Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share and profitability
Work closely with operations, service, and installation teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
Analyze sales reports, pipeline activity, and market trends to identify opportunities
Conduct sales meetings and ongoing strategic planning sessions
Ensure team compliance with company policies, pricing, and financing procedures
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Design and support marketing initiatives and lead generation campaigns
Maintain a culture focused on accountability, professionalism, and customer satisfaction

Supervisory Responsibility:
Directly manages Sales Associates and Sales Reps (both inside and outside sales).
Required Education and Experience:
5+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or home services
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
Experience managing sales metrics, forecasting, and reporting
Knowledge of HVAC systems, products, financing options, and customer sales processes
Ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with CRM and sales management software
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
HVAC industry certifications or technical knowledge
Experience with residential replacement sales or commercial HVAC projects
Bilingual communication skills are a plus
Work Environment, Position Type and Expected Hours:
This job operates in a professional field environment with a mix of local travel and office time. In addition to occasionally traveling to field work sites, will also be exposed to varied indoor and outdoor environments. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. It is a full-time 40+ hour position. Days and hours of work may vary but are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with periodic travel required throughout the Northeast US. This position will be based at our corporate office in Cranston, RI.
