Job Responsibilities
Assist electricians by performing non electrical tasks and handling materials. This employee
should keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion and keep the work area clean at all times. A helper/ apprentice electrician demonstrates safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.
Job responsibilities include:
- Assist in the installation of cable tray and conduit
- Assist in the installation of tray cable and wire
- Daily housekeeper duties
- Assisting in staging materials and tooling
- Follow all site specific safety rules and work requirements
Position Requirements
- Must have a current driver’s license, passport or governmental ID
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must pass a drug screening test and agree to random drug screening
- Must hold a State of Texas electrical apprentice license
- Able to work up to 12 hours per day Monday through Saturday, overtime as required, and night shifts
- Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns)
- Must wear company provided personal protective equipment at all times in construction work areas
- Employee shall provide required personal hand tools.
- Work from all type ladders (step ladders up to 14’, “A” frame ladders, and all size extension ladders).Employee’s personal weight and hand tools cannot exceed the 300 pound weight limit of Class 1A ladders
- Perform work at various heights and up to 40 ft. from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, or elevated work areas
- Work in restricted areas (electric & mechanical rooms and above ceiling plenums)
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
