General Steel Crane & Rigging LLC, one of the leading crane and rigging companies in the region, is seeking a full-time Crane Operations Coordinator to join our team in Hopkinsville, KY.
This role is responsible for coordinating daily crane and trucking operations, maximizing equipment utilization, maintaining safety compliance, and ensuring efficient communication between customers, operators, sales, and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics of All-Terrain cranes, Hydraulic truck cranes, Rough Terrain cranes, crane operators, and support equipment.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate trucking logistics for crane counterweights, forklifts, flatbeds, and heavy haul transport operations.
- Maximize fleet utilization and operational efficiency
- Process incoming customer calls and job requests
- Enter, review, and maintain job data within dispatch software
- Coordinate overweight/over-dimensional permits
- Work closely with sales, accounting, and management to ensure project execution
- Track certifications, training, and qualification records
- Assist with OSHA compliance and safety documentation
- Coordinate and schedule required safety training
- Monitor and promote a culture of safe work practices
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in crane, trucking, or heavy equipment dispatching
- Experience obtaining overweight/over-dimensional permits
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in office software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence
- High school diploma or equivalent
