Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience servicing or inspecting fire sprinkler systems
- Valid RME-I (Responsible Managing Employee – Inspector) license issued by the Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office (required)
- FAL or FEL license is a plus, but not required
- Strong knowledge of Texas fire codes and NFPA standards (25, 13, 16, 20, 72)
- Strong communication skills for clear interaction with clients and team members
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting habits
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of performing field tasks (standing, stair climbing, ladder use, lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable using test equipment (e.g., multimeters, battery analyzers, sound level meters)
- Basic tech skills (iPad, mobile apps, and PC proficiency)
Responsibilities:
As an RMEI Fire Sprinkler Technician, you will:
- Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and minor repairs of fire sprinkler systems
- Ensure systems comply with Texas state regulations and NFPA standards
- Accurately document all services using company-issued iPads and reporting software
- Communicate clearly with clients and office staff regarding inspection findings and job progress
- Respond to emergency service calls when needed
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Schedulers to ensure smooth project coordination and timely reporting
- Participate in weekly team meetings and follow all safety protocols and company policies
- Assist with job closeouts, reporting, and customer satisfaction follow-ups
- Perform physically demanding tasks related to fire sprinkler service work
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by management
