Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that all plumbing work meets safety standards, building codes, and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites and during remodeling projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, pipe threading machines, and other mechanical tools to complete installations.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with construction teams & field service personnel to coordinate project tasks effectively.
- Follow all safety procedures related to construction plumbing, heavy lifting, and working at heights or confined spaces.
Qualifications
- Valid journeyman plumber license or equivalent certification with proven field experience in construction plumbing. Pay determined by experience & skill set.
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, schematics, blueprints reading, and mechanical principles.
- Hands-on experience with construction site work including remodeling & maintenance.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and schematics interpretation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work essential for precise installations.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and local building codes related to plumbing.
- Additional skills such as carpentry experience, handyman skills, or clean driving license are a plus but not required (only to have a company vehicle). Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
