Job Description:
If you have a passion for the initial construction of a building’s framework and enjoy the challenge of building something one of a kind, we would like to talk with you! We are seeking a rough-in carpenter/framer with at least 2 years minimum experience to join our incredible team.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints and other constructions documents to understand the scope of work and building specifications.
- Framing walls and roofs; construct the basic framework of the building including erecting wall studs, headers and plates, and build roof trusses or rafters. \
- Install rough openings for doors and windows, ensuring proper dimensions and alignment.
- Install exterior wall material and house wrap.
- Operate and maintain various hand and power tools such as saws, drills, hammers and nail guns.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of experience in this area is required.
- Skilled use of power tools.
- Basic math skills to calculate accurate measurements.
- Sound knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and carpentry principles.
- Physical strength and stamina.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Manual dexterity and visualization skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
