Job Summary
THIS POSITION WILL BE IN-TRAINING WITH CURRENT LEAD FOR 90 DAYS- Starting at $32-38 an hour and eligible for more after 90 day training
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the building/remodeling industry and possess a comprehensive skill set that includes various carpentry techniques. As a Lead Carpenter, you will perform and oversee projects, ensuring quality workmanship while leading a team of carpenters in executing tasks efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Perform a variety of carpentry tasks including but not limited to remodeling, decks, basement finishing, bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, framing, etc.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Build and assemble structures such as framing, siding, and cabinetry with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to industry standards.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters on best practices and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site while adhering to safety regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in the building/remodeling industry with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficient in framing, finish work, deck installation, cabinet installation, and remodeling techniques.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in building and assembling various structures with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of plumb, level, and square principles in carpentry work.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site as they arise.
