Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager specializing in Commercial Fire Sprinkler systems to lead our service operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of fire sprinkler system maintenance, repairs, and upgrades across commercial properties. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the service team responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial fire sprinkler systems.
- Develop and implement service schedules to ensure timely inspections and compliance with local fire safety codes and regulations.
- Oversee system design reviews, ensuring plans are accurate and meet project specifications using blueprint reading, schematics, and CAD tools.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver seamless project execution from initial assessment through final inspection.
- Conduct construction inspections to verify installation quality, adherence to schematics, and compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge and field service experience to diagnose issues efficiently using hand tools, power tools, sensors, and electrical testing equipment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, system modifications, and inspection reports while ensuring all work complies with safety protocols including low voltage wiring and fire alarm standards.
- Support sales efforts related to alarm systems and fire alarm upgrades by providing technical expertise during client consultations.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and system design principles for fire sprinkler systems.
- Strong CAD (Computer-Aided Design) skills for reviewing plans and creating system layouts.
- Extensive construction inspection experience with an understanding of fire sprinkler fitting procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in a field service environment.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, sensors, low voltage wiring, NEC standards, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to fire suppression systems and electrical components.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, team members, and vendors; sales experience in fire alarm or sprinkler system upgrades is a plus. Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
