Heatwave Heating | Cooling | Plumbing | Electric is seeking an experienced Journeyman Service Electrician to join our expanding residential and light commercial service team. We are looking for a skilled professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship, outstanding customer service, and safe electrical solutions.This position is ideal for a self-motivated electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and direct customer interaction.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial electrical systems
- Perform service upgrades, panel replacements, breaker replacements, and rewiring
- Install EV chargers, surge protection systems, generators, lighting, and smart home devices
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and provide effective solutions
- Conduct electrical safety inspections
- Communicate findings and recommendations with customers
- Prepare estimates and explain repair options
- Complete work orders accurately using company software
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service vehicle
- Follow all NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards
QualificationsRequired
- Journeyman Electrician experience (3+ years preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of current NEC requirements
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
- Florida Certified Electrical Contractor experience
- Residential service experience
- Generator installation experience
- EV charger installation experience
- Sales and customer education experience

Expected Annual Earnings: $75,000–$120,000+
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- Overtime available
- On-call rotation (additional compensation)
Work Location: In-person, serving customers throughout the greater Tampa Bay area
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
