Job Summary
We are seeking a safety-focused and dependable Overhead Crane Operator to join our warehouse operations team in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and organizing steel products and materials using overhead cranes and forklifts while supporting shipping and receiving operations. Safety, productivity, and teamwork are essential to success in this role.
Essential Responsibilities
- Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move steel products and materials.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments.
- Inspect materials and verify customer specifications.
- Read and utilize measuring devices accurately.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation.
- Safely load trucks, including securing loads when required.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous overhead crane experience preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule
1st Shift: Day Shift
2nd Shift: Afternoon/Evening Shift
Overtime may be available based on business needs.
