Talent LogistiX is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician – Quality Manager to serve as the primary field authority responsible for ensuring all commercial lighting, electrical, and solar installations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and code compliance.
This is a highly visible leadership role that combines technical expertise, field oversight, safety leadership, and process improvement. From project startup through final closeout, the Quality Manager will oversee installation quality, conduct field audits, support crews, identify deficiencies, and ensure every project is delivered according to scope, schedule, electrical codes, and company standards.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on electrical professional with strong field experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to build positive relationships with crews, customers, and project stakeholders while driving accountability and continuous improvement.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required, as this position serves as a key liaison between field crews, leadership, and clients.
Location: Zionsville, IN
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Flexible hours required based on project needs, including evening site visits and occasional weekends
Travel: Extensive travel throughout Indiana with monthly travel across the Midwest and Southeast regions
Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 Annual Salary – Based upon experience
Journeyman Electrician – Quality Manager Responsibilities:
As the Journeyman Electrician – Quality Manager, you will serve as the company's quality and compliance leader across active project sites. This role requires extensive field presence, regular travel, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities to improve installation quality, safety performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
You will work closely with project managers, foremen, installation crews, and company leadership to establish best practices, implement quality standards, and ensure successful project execution throughout multiple regions.
Quality Assurance & Field Inspections
- Conduct regular field audits and quality inspections on active commercial lighting, electrical, and solar projects
- Verify installations comply with approved work orders, project specifications, company standards, and applicable electrical codes
- Identify deficiencies, installation errors, and workmanship concerns while developing corrective action plans
- Document inspection findings, project progress, and quality observations using standardized reporting methods
- Ensure projects consistently meet customer expectations and contractual requirements
Punch List & Project Closeout
- Lead project closeout inspections and punch list reviews
- Verify all project scope items have been completed, tested, and installed correctly
- Coordinate with field teams to resolve outstanding deficiencies and ensure timely project completion
- Support final turnover activities and customer acceptance processes
Safety Leadership & Compliance
- Champion a safety-first culture throughout the organization
- Conduct jobsite safety observations and coach crews on best practices and hazard recognition
- Verify compliance with OSHA standards, company safety policies, and customer-specific requirements
- Ensure employees maintain current certifications and required safety training
- Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions when necessary
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, inspection forms, field checklists, and standard operating procedures
- Analyze recurring installation issues and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Partner with leadership to improve quality metrics, installation consistency, and overall operational performance
- Assist in training and mentoring field personnel on quality standards, electrical best practices, and code compliance
Field Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a trusted technical resource for foremen, electricians, project managers, and leadership teams
- Foster positive working relationships with field crews through coaching, communication, and accountability
- Support workforce development initiatives and help maintain a culture of continuous improvement
- Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders regarding quality and project performance
Journeyman Electrician – Quality Manager Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician License REQUIRED
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on commercial electrical experience
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish REQUIRED
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
- NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Training
- Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and common code applications
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and project documents
