Position Overview
M Force Partners is seeking an experienced Building Automation (BAS/BMS) Service Project Manager to oversee service projects involving Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and Energy Management Systems (EMS). This role will manage maintenance projects, system upgrades, troubleshooting efforts, service operations, and customer support activities while ensuring reliable system performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
The ideal Building Automation (BAS/BMS) Service Project Manager will have hands-on experience supporting BAS, BMS, and EMS platforms, managing field service teams, coordinating customer-facing projects, and delivering energy-efficient building solutions within commercial and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage BAS, BMS, and EMS service projects including maintenance, repairs, retrofits, upgrades, and system expansions
- Coordinate service technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and customer stakeholders
- Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of low voltage building automation and control system issues
- Schedule preventive maintenance and service activities for building automation infrastructure
- Manage customer service requests, work orders, and service agreements (SLAs)
- Ensure compliance with electrical, safety, and cybersecurity standards
- Support commissioning, diagnostics, firmware updates, software updates, and system optimization
- Review system performance data and recommend energy efficiency improvements
- Prepare project schedules, cost estimates, service reports, and technical documentation
- Manage project budgets, procurement activities, invoicing, and change orders
- Conduct customer meetings and provide technical and project status updates
- Support emergency response and critical system restoration activities when required
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Energy Systems, Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical field preferred
- 3+ years of experience supporting low voltage systems, BAS/BMS service operations, EMS platforms, or technical project management
- Basic electrical and lighting troubleshooting experience including relays and contactors
- Experience with:
- Building Automation Systems (BAS)

- Smart Metering Infrastructure
- Low Voltage Controls
- Building Controls and Automation Technologies
- Experience managing field service teams and customer-facing projects
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to read electrical drawings, control diagrams, and technical specifications
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or Project Management certification
- Experience with Cylon, Distech, Teletrol, Novar, or RTU Controls
- Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, network switches, IT infrastructure, and communication protocols
- OSHA 10/30 certification or electrical safety training
- Experience managing service contracts, warranty programs, and SLA reporting
