We're launching a new plumbing company in the Dallas-Fort Worth market and are looking for an entrepreneurial Responsible Master Plumber who wants more than just another plumbing job. We're seeking a leader who will serve as the Responsible Master Plumber (RMP) while leading the company's day-to-day operations as our Operations Manager.

Position Summary
The Founding Responsible Master Plumber & Operations Manager will oversee every aspect of the plumbing operation, including licensing, code compliance, production, scheduling, quality control, customer satisfaction, employee development, financial performance, and long-term growth.
This individual will serve as the Responsible Master Plumber for the business while leading the daily operations of a rapidly growing plumbing company. We are looking for someone who enjoys building teams, creating efficient systems, developing people, and driving exceptional customer experiences.

ResponsibilitiesResponsible Master Plumber
- Serve as the Responsible Master Plumber (RMP) for the company.
- Maintain all licensing requirements with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE).
- Ensure compliance with all state, local, and municipal plumbing codes.
- Review permits, inspections, and technical requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to field technicians.
- Maintain quality control and workmanship standards.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Operations Management
- Lead the daily operations of the plumbing division.
- Schedule technicians and dispatch work efficiently.
- Monitor production, profitability, and operational performance.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and standard operating processes.
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor plumbing professionals.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching for continual improvement.
- Manage inventory, equipment, vehicles, and warehouse operations.
- Work closely with office staff to ensure outstanding customer communication.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuously improve operational efficiency.
Financial & Business Leadership
- Manage job costing and departmental profitability.
- Assist ownership with budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor labor efficiency and operational expenses.
- Help establish pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins without sacrificing customer satisfaction.
Business Development
- Help grow the plumbing division throughout the DFW market.
- Build relationships with contractors, restoration companies, property managers, municipalities, and commercial clients.
- Identify opportunities to expand into additional plumbing services and markets.
- Assist ownership with strategic planning for future expansion into additional states.
QualificationsRequired
- Current Texas Master Plumber License in good standing.
- Eligible to serve as the Responsible Master Plumber.
- Minimum of 10 years of plumbing experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Thorough understanding of Texas plumbing codes and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
Preferred
- Experience launching or growing a plumbing company.
- Drain cleaning and hydro-jetting experience.
- Sewer camera inspection experience.
- Trenchless sewer repair experience.
- Water heater and tankless water heater expertise.
- Experience with ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, Housecall Pro, or similar field management software.
- Experience managing departmental budgets and P&L.
- Experience with commercial service accounts and property management clients.
